Back. Quack.
Anil Kapoor swivelled around in his chair to face the contestants and glared at both of them. The tension hung heavy in the air like the coming monsoon. The two finalists of "Kaun Banega Lounge Piranha Bass-pati" shifted uneasily in their chairs. Both had taken a tireless tirade of questions on music theory (designed by Kamal) and rock history (designed by George), and they were tied on 115 points - it was turning into a photo finish. "Alrightttttty then!", yelled Anil Kapoor, "This is the golden goal round! I ask a question and if you hit the buzzer first and answer correctly, you win the contest!"... excited whispers went around the studio audience.. "If you hit the buzzer and answer incorrectly...", Anil Kapoor paused for effect and suddenly looked very serious, a hush went throught the audience... "You loooooose!", the studio audience went bananas, somebody screamed and had a heart attack and was rushed away by paramedics."So letttttt's do it!". "First question - everybody loves Miles, can one of you tell me what key his trumpet was in?", chatterchatterchatter went the audience... Runtun looked stunned and wondered who Miles was, "Must have made some music before I was born...", he thought to himself. Shalini had two fingers on her foreheard and had gone into a trance. Flashback. She was 7 years old and in guitar class. Her guitar teacher was trying to make her understand the difference between a major and minor seventh when suddenly an earthquake rocked the house, everything caved in and within no time she was lost in the rubble and the house was on fire. As she crawled towards the window, tears streaming from her eyes she saw a poster, it had a trumpet on it and a scale chart, what key was it in? Her photographic memory was straining to the point of breaking, she'd only glanced at the poster for a moment and it was years ago but now her life depended on it, she strained further sending electromagnetic shockwaves from her skull, far away near Iceland, a ship's compass suddenly started spinning violently, somewhere in Bihar a Bodhi tree sprouted flowers, back in Bombay she came out of a trance and hit the buzzer with a smile on her face. She had the answer.

Self pity
Self-pity is the psychological state of mind of an individual in perceived adverse situations who has not accepted the situation and does not have the confidence nor ability to cope with it. It is characterized by a person's belief that he or she is the victim of events and is therefore deserving of condolence. Self-pity is generally regarded as a negative emotion in that it does not generally help deal with adverse situations. However, in a social context it may result in either the offering of sympathy or advice. Self-pity may be considered normal, and in certain circumstances healthy, so long as it is transitory and leads to either acceptance or a determination to change the situation.

You won't be stolen away from me will you?
I'm not careless with you.

It's easy to mistake the two, one for the other.

Love
'Oh shatter!' exclaims Sir Rohington.
Looks like we've got a war on our hands.
(passes the pipe)
Lord K takes a drag.
(passes it back)
'What's the matter?' inquires Lord K.
'I broke the love platter.' Sir Rohington looks disparingly at the pieces and also the crowd gathering around, intent on war.
'No worries.' Says Lord K, putting on a fake Scottish accent for the amassing crowds. 'All we have to do is HYPNOTISE them.'
'Stare intently at them and say it with me Rohington, my boy.'
"Make love, not war." "Make love, not war."
The crowd one slightly confused moment later takes up the chant.
"Make love, not war." "Make love, not war."
More and more people join in and pretty soon the whole world is thinking this way. All thoughts of war set aside for the time being.
The day is saved.
Lord Kamal is declared hero and saver of the day.
Autograph signing session to be held.
Where?-TBA
When?- after the show
Why?- Chumma. Be there.
:)
Make love not war. On the bed, not on the floor.

Someone claimed to have experienced a future life, and in that future, she explained that human being were evolved mentally and considered emotional reactions base. Something vulgar even.
I've been trying lately not to rationalize my emotions as much.
I think this, more than anything, is what makes us human.

Radiohead respond to Miley Cyrus' rant
Thom Yorke alludes to teen star's temper tantrum
Media sources have been reporting that Radiohead responded to teen star Miley Cyrus, who lashed out at the band for snubbing her at the Grammy Awards last month.
In a recent radio interview, Cyrus vented her anger at her one-time "favourite" band after they allegedly turned down an invitation to meet her back stage at the Grammys. She said: "I left 'cause I was so upset. I wasn't going to watch. Stinkin' Radiohead! I'm gonna ruin them, I'm going to tell everyone."
According to E! Online, Radiohead responded to her remarks by saying, "When Miley grows up, she'll learn not to have such a sense of entitlement." As it turns out, the band's publicist reportedly issued the statement and not the band themselves.
However, in a posting yesterday (March 12) on Radiohead's Dead Air Space blog, frontman Thom Yorke alluded to the incident, saying: "Wish us all a safe journey if you still like us and you're not one of those people i have managed to offend by doing nothing xx"

you know how when you meet someone you can tell if you're going to know them for the rest of your life, or were supposed to meet them, like they were waiting at that moment in time, for you to arrive, or rather, that moment in time was waiting for the two to arrive?

Rise
What would I do?
What would I do if I was attacked?
'Be careful ok?' a friend, a boy, tells me concernedly. 'If somebody provokes you, don't fight back. Just try to get to safety'
Three girls(that I know of) were attacked. One of them a girl from the neighbourhood.
She could have been anyone.
She could have been me.
'Cover yourself when you walk on the road ok?' A concerned colleague advises me. I try to explain that in winter I'm covered from head to toe, yes, socks and woolen hats, not a bit of myself exposed. But in summer, It doesn't strike me as unreasonable to wear a sleeveless T-shirt to counter the heat.
This clearly isn't the point.
Again I think, what would I do?
I replay the situation (being attacked)in my head a thousand different ways. Always using a rational approach. Only to conclude that it's fanatics that I'm dealing with. Not people you can reason with.
I try to understand what their agenda is. It most certainly isn't maintaining the purity of our race, our culture. I'm aware of far worse behaviour that shouldn't be allowed in any culture. The most obvious, attacking women.
The police from the sound of it seem to be on the side of chaos. Dismissing the claims of these women almost unconcernedly.
I have no conclusive response to my question. All I know is that these women who were attacked represent every woman I know.
A support group involving the Alternative Law Forum and the Blank Noise Project has been formed.
I can only assume that there is strength in numbers.

Megan
I'm writing this for you.
For you to remember.
You're two.
You found a dress on my bed. About your size.
You asked who was going to wear it.
I said, 'You'.
You can't imagine the joy on your face.
I told you it was for your birthday. You started singing, 'Happy Birthday Megan!' Your birthday is two months away.
But your aunt, Joanne, in tradition with and being completely true to herself has already bought you your present (TWO MONTHS IN ADVANCE). A lovely long, blue dress, that will make you look like a princess.
I tell you that we'll get you a tiara, a cheap one from behind Commercial Street. 'A cheap one', you say, like it's something special. 'Cheap'. So, quickly to save my reputation I tell you that it doesn't matter whether it's cheap or not. It's going to be pretty and THAT's the important thing. Effectively sowing the seed of superficiality and instilling an unhealthy sense of commercialism in your innocent little heart. heh :)
So you start saying, 'Hello Megan's birthday'. I think it's my fault that you do that. I make you say hello to inanimate objects like the sun and the trees and Missy and Tiger our stray dogs and if you throw something on the ground, like a finger puppet, I tell you that it's crying because you did that.
You continue, 'Hello Megan's birthday, hello Megan's dress'. 'Happy Birthday Megan', you sing then you clap and blow out your candle. It's all in your head. You've even made the guest list. Mamma, Maya and me.
It's something special to watch the person that you are. Words don't even come close.

I saw a Nazi today.
A little red car, with a white circle on the hood and a black swastika in the center.
And a little lady with glasses driving it.
