Back. Quack.

Anil Kapoor swivelled around in his chair to face the contestants and glared at both of them. The tension hung heavy in the air like the coming monsoon. The two finalists of "Kaun Banega Lounge Piranha Bass-pati" shifted uneasily in their chairs. Both had taken a tireless tirade of questions on music theory (designed by Kamal) and rock history (designed by George), and they were tied on 115 points - it was turning into a photo finish. "Alrightttttty then!", yelled Anil Kapoor, "This is the golden goal round! I ask a question and if you hit the buzzer first and answer correctly, you win the contest!"... excited whispers went around the studio audience.. "If you hit the buzzer and answer incorrectly...", Anil Kapoor paused for effect and suddenly looked very serious, a hush went throught the audience... "You loooooose!", the studio audience went bananas, somebody screamed and had a heart attack and was rushed away by paramedics.

"So letttttt's do it!". "First question - everybody loves Miles, can one of you tell me what key his trumpet was in?", chatterchatterchatter went the audience... Runtun looked stunned and wondered who Miles was, "Must have made some music before I was born...", he thought to himself. Shalini had two fingers on her foreheard and had gone into a trance. Flashback. She was 7 years old and in guitar class. Her guitar teacher was trying to make her understand the difference between a major and minor seventh when suddenly an earthquake rocked the house, everything caved in and within no time she was lost in the rubble and the house was on fire. As she crawled towards the window, tears streaming from her eyes she saw a poster, it had a trumpet on it and a scale chart, what key was it in? Her photographic memory was straining to the point of breaking, she'd only glanced at the poster for a moment and it was years ago but now her life depended on it, she strained further sending electromagnetic shockwaves from her skull, far away near Iceland, a ship's compass suddenly started spinning violently, somewhere in Bihar a Bodhi tree sprouted flowers, back in Bombay she came out of a trance and hit the buzzer with a smile on her face. She had the answer.
