..a world without men, i for one would not survive it cheerfully..

a return ticket on a night train from bombay...no father available on that particular date to pick up a daughter from the train station in the night....

Oh, the lonely daughter
dazed by neons,
strangeness whizzing by.

Breeze, it's but empty.
Daddy, oh daddy where have you gone?

Toes tremble,
pangs itching the eye,
stranger yo, look away.

Train thuds off, that jelaby girl peeping out
to wave arms, silence after the dust,
iron tongue of solitude.

Remorse, announcements,
the chaiwallah.
Night sets in on the dirt,
twin steel lines blare away into dark.

Oh, the lonely daughter
cuts through her tears.

Love, oh life, who would hold my tiny finger?

Sorry pal, got carried away from just that line of yours. I saw you standing there for real. I'm nuts this noon!
